You either break up, or marry them.

If you’re dating just to date without thinking about the future, it’ll be the former. The only reason you “date” someone is so you can acquire enough information to decide whether or not you’d be happy with and able to trust this person for the rest of your life. Why date just to date? What a waste of emotion.
